The Effect of Farmyard Manure Compost and Sulphur Applications on the Growth of Bean on a Limely-Alkali Soil

In this paper ıt was studied the effect of the application of farmyard manure and compost on the growth and nutrition of bean. The study was carried under greenhouse conditions. Compost and compost + farmyard manure were applied at the levels of 2, 4 and 8 t ha-1 and the ratio of + 1/2 , respectively. As control, mineral fertilizer NPK was applied. In addition 80 kg da-1 S was applied to each plot. The effect of the applications of compost and FYM on dry matter, yield, the amount of total N, K, Fe, Cu and Zn of bean was significant but the effect of the amounts of total P, Ca. Mg, Na and Mn was not significant.
