Determination and Evaluation of Residual Levels of Imazamox Herbicide in Soil Environment in Sunflower Farming in Thrace Region

The research was carried out in Kırklareli province of Thrace Region in 2014 and 2015 years. In the study, it was investigated that whether or not the parent material and derivations of imazamox (imazapic, imazapyr, imazethapyr, imazaquin) which is mostly used in sunflower farming in the region generated residual in the soil. The study was carried out in two different locations and the loamy soil structure in Kırklareli location has 4.77 pH and loamy sand soil structure in Kavaklı has 7.28 pH. The field trial was designed according to randomized blocks trial design. According to the results, only imazamox main material was determined in the soil. Imazamox residual between 20 ug L-1 and 50.0 ug L-1 was determined in the soil which has neutral pH and %22.92 clay in 2014 and imazamox residual between 11.3 ug L-1 and 77.8 ug L-1 was determined in 2015. Residual between 18.9 and 35.5 ug L-1 was determined in the acidic soil (pH=4.95) and %8.33 clay in 2014 and residual between 13.8 and 58.7 ug L-1 in 2015. The imazamox residuals in the top layer of the soil were higher than the bottom layer of the soil. When the residual amounts were evaluated, sequence was as 1st week>6th week>harvest
