This study was carried out to determine some performance criteria in drip irrigation systems in 15 farmer lands used in corn and walnut cultivation in Kırklareli province in 2017-2018. In drip irrigation systems under the field operations where the study is carried out, Irrigation corresponding distribution (CU), dripper variation coefficient (Cv), statistical corresponding distribution coefficient (Us), 79-99%, system water discharge homogeneity coefficient (Eua) ranged from 82-96%, 0.02-0.021, 79-99%, and 82 to 99%, respectively. Accordingly, it was found that some criteria were not suitable for the initial design, installation and operation of some of the tested drip irrigation systems. Some of these can be mentioned that the lateral lines are chosen too long than necessary, the materials used are not of sufficient quality, the filtration system is not chosen properly, the inappropriate dripper flow selection and operating pressures are well below 1-1.5 atmosphere. Since these measured parameters are directly related to water distribution in the soil, efficient water use and yield, soil and plant properties should be taken into consideration and the system should be operated in accordance with the technique before the system is installed. In addition, it is important for the users of the system to increase their experience by getting sufficient training in terms of sustainable use of the systems and providing the highest benefit.
